Catching up with The Offline Gamer
Jamie hasn’t had the chance to catch up with his friend Matt at The Offline Gamer since he was on a mega promo drive for his self-published game Hero Master: An Epic Game of Epic Fails way back in 2018!
With DoodleMeeple going from strength to strength, and Matt’s arrival in the reviewer/content creator section of the DoodleMeeple Creative Roster, Jamie thought it was high time the two had a catch up.
In this interview we:
- Debrief the Hero Master Kickstarter, production and fulfilment.
- I give some tips on what I learned from the process
- We chat about the current climate of the board game industry
- Talk about how DoodleMeeple helps newer Creatives reach a broader audience to help further your tabletop industry career
I hope you enjoy the show. Thanks to Matt for having us! We hope to join him again soon! Make sure to follow Matt, visit The Offline Gamer here!
Are you a game designer yourself?
Or are you one of the supporting industry figures like… The artist who gives games their iconic visuals? A story writer who provides deep, immersive narrative? Or maybe a play-tester providing key feedback to make the game a success?
You can find more clients, network and fast track your progress with us.

I hope you enjoyed reading! I’ll keep you all posted with news from us and from around the industry. If you’ve got news, why not share it with me?
Drop me a line at jamie@doodlemeeple.com and we might be able to feature you in our news.
Keep making great games!
Jamie, DoodleMeeple
